Author Visits and Workshops

Schools and Libraries:
Ellen Parry Lewis offers many different author visit options for schools and libraries. She gives presentations mixing and matching a discussion on writing as a career, her own experiences as a YA novelist, a question and answer period, and reading samples of her work. She also gives writing workshops where children or adults can work on character development, believable dialogue, descriptive writing, and more.

Online Courses:
Do you know a middle or high school student interested in creative writing? Ellen and Metal Lunchbox Publishing are developing an online course for young writers.  It will be a combination of self study and webinars. If you are interested in staying up to date with the development of the course, send an email to Sam Varney at sfvarney@metallunchboxpublishing.com and he will add you to the list. Although the self study course will not be limited, we plan to limit the number of participants in the webinar courses to ensure personalized attention.

Free Writing Workshops:
Ellen also hosts free writing workshops for teenagers, usually on a bimonthly basis. To be added to Ellen's free, local "Young Writer Workshop" list, please contact her at ellenplewis@gmail.com.
